I have purchased two RUTM50 5G routers and am working on benchmarking a direct connection between the routers. I am currently using Tailscale to set up a direct connection but am experiencing low throughput and high latency (getting only ~6 mbps throughput with over 600-900 ms latency). For comparison I ran an iperf3 test to a public node and got 160 mbps throughput with only 30 ms latency. I am also receiving bad results when using other services like ZeroTier.
I spoke to William from customer support and he told me to update my firmware. I updated my firmware but to no avail. Is there another way I can troubleshoot this? The throughput and latency is much lower than expected especially for a 5G router.
