RUTC50 "Modem not reachale" after restoring a backup

Hi,
after restoring a backup to an RUTC50, the device alway shows “Internal Modem (unreachable)”.
After resetting to factory defaults and using the wizard, the connection via the cellular modem goes up.
The backup has been taken from a functional device.
What can I do?

cheers
Udo

If you’re not on the very latest firmwares, upgrade to the latest (Without saving settings). Device first, then the modem second.

Reconfigure manually without importing a previous backup of your configuration. It’s possible that the past backup is either corrupt or just simply incompatible with the firmware version you’re left with after the factory reset.

I personally have decided not to even try to import backups of previous exports, unreliable!

I am however exporting a backup and saving it along with a matching known good firmware version as a matching pair prior to upgrading to a new firmware version.

My idea being that if things go wrong in the future, i can downgrade to a good firmware version and import its matching backup of my configuration. If when i have to do this in the future i hope that i’ll have a good working system without having to manually reconfigure everything again and agian…
