RUTC50 mobile disconnected

today I woke up to discover that my mobile “Data connection state” was disconnected for some reason. signal was good though…

I hit the “restart connection button” and I get a connection again…

seems to me there is again another bug in RUTOS…

Why RUTOS not attempt to reconnect by itself ??

that is very disappointing for such a “high end” device like the RUTC50 that is supposed to be a bulletproof mobile connection device. If this is happening while I’m ou of my home and can’t access my devices this would be a disaster….

I just would like to give my experience on the fact that it seems to me that the basic rock solid connection protocol is not being optimized properly. And this is the base for a product like this.

if RUTOS looses connection it should attempt to reconnect by itself (mobile wan and vpn since I also experienced this issue with netbird vpn too)

it is not normal that signal is good but there is no wan; I should not have to do this manually

in case of netbird if there is wan it should auto reconnect too.

I hope you understand that this is mission critical.

I would add to finish that in 3 years of previously using a GLinet router I never had any issue like this. I changed to get a european router and support european manufacturing. Since I switched to RUTC50 I found many weird behaviors like this. I hope you see my comment as constructive and that your QA might have to improve on this.

Greetings,

Could you please clarify whether this occurred only once or if it’s a recurring issue?

Best Regards,
Justinas

this particular issue has happened only once so far but my point of view is that it should never happen; there should be an auto-reconnect feature. For my use it is “mission critical” to have a bulletproof uptime.
