RUTC50 hardware, flash memory size for RUTC5021xxxx

Hi guys,

This is my first post here and I have a question about my brand new RUTC50 bought last week.

My device was advertised with “expanded RAM and flash memory” and its product code is “RUTC5021xxxx” hence according to its product datasheet on Teltonika’s website, I was expecting to have a RAM size of 1GB and a flash memory size of 8GB. However if the RAM size is actually 1GB, the flash memory size appears to be only 512 MB as for a device of product code “RUTC5020xxxx”.

So am I missing something? Or is there anything wrong with my device?

Regards,

Eric

Greetings,

Could you please navigate to Status → System and send a screenshot similar to the one shown below? Just make sure the serial number is not visible.

Additionally, please send a screenshot of the Memory tab. When you hover over the usage section, you should see the values displayed as shown in the example below.

Lastly, could you log in to the router’s CLI (instructions are available here: Command Line Interfaces - Teltonika Networks Wiki, run the command df -h , and send me the output?

Best Regards,
Justinas

Hi Justinas,

Thank you for your response.

Here is what you requested:

  1. the device

  1. the memory

  1. and the result of “df -h”

Greetings, Eric,

The flash memory available that you see within the WebUI is expected and normal. This only shows the available space that can be used for packages from Package Manager and some other things as well.

In the latest screenshot of the df -h output, I can see that the partition containing 6.1GBs of space exists on your device, so that is all and well.

You should be able to upload any files you want on that partition by simply navigating to it through apps such as WinSCP/FileZilla/MobaXTerm, etc. Just note - the partition is only formatted when you do a Factory Default reset, if you decide to do a System Settings reset, it will not be cleared.

M.
