RUTC50 eSIM functionality gone after crash and reset

Hi Team,

i just had a quick call with one of your engineers.

We have a RUTC50 with eSIM functionality and it worked till monday pretty well. After i saw that the VPN Tunnel went down (certificate and route based), i was able to connect via the RMS portal and saw that the tunnel was still “connected”. But i wasn’t able to reach the router via the tunnel nor the devices (switch) behind the router. So i took a look at the firewall rules and all custom rules were in starting state. Then i tried to restart the firewall on the cli. Nothing happened. After that i rebooted the router and was not able to connect locally via LAN/WLAN anymore (no DHCP). The i resetet the device via the reset button. I was able to logon with the default settings again. Then i tried to restore a backup, which i made a few hours before.
In the verify area i got a lot of messages.

‘German Language Support (Deutsch)’ configurations may not migrate properly until the packages are installed. Install them now or proceed and install them later.

I stopped the backup process and downgraded the firmware to an older version and tried to import the older backup (from the older firmware) and that worked.
But there was no bootstrap eSIM profile anymore. And was not able to import the “old” working eSIM profile anymore.
Made an upgrade again, no eSIM, reset of the router, no eSim…
Inserted a physical SIM, thats working. Configured everything like it was before. VPN is working again, but if i reboot the device, the static routes through the tunnel don’t work anymore.

In the RMS portal if i try to upload an eSIM profile, it says that there is no eSIM modem on the Router…

Version: RUTC_R_00.07.22.1

Any thoughts on that problem?

BR,
Christian
