RUT956 webinterface slow loading issue

Hi all,

Why does the webinterface of a RUT956 load so slowly after performing multiple firmware updates? I think the problem started from FW v7.15.x
Upgrading to the latest firmware FW v7.16.1 doesn’t solve much. It takes 30 seconds to load a page on the webinterface everytime I click on a button.

*I cannot reset my routers back to factory default because they are operating somewhere in the field.

sup, refer to this comment: Login WebUI error but ssh login OK - #11 by Martynas

worst case scenario - add the device to rms, create a backup, factory reset the device, upload the backup (make sure you’re on the same FW btw, since backups kinda work in a janky way)

Good afternoon,

As @minecraft_creeperis has kindly advised, please try the commands as advised in the comment, and if that doesn’t help, try the backup method.

Please advise if you encounter any further issues.

Regards,
Arturas

Addition to previous message :

Please also, before you try any advised steps, in the first instance try a different web browser to access the WEBUI. Try incognito window as well.

Also just to clarify, when you try to access the WEBUI, you go via RMS, and create a WEBUI link?

Regards,

I’m using the Edge browser to make remote connection. Incognito window is also not working better, still slow loading pages (±30 seconds).
I’m not using the RMS portal.
4G mobile connection is good. I have the same issue with 3 devices, always directly after a firmware update.

Hi, where can I fill in these commands in the webinterface? I’m not using SSH or something else…

Hi,

You can connect to the device locally, and find “CLI” functionality in WEBUI. You can send those commands via there. Alternatively, you can connect to the device via SSH, as you have public IP, you can do so remotely too, and run these commands via command line like that Remote Device Access - Teltonika Networks Wiki

Today firmware 7.05.4 back installed on my routers.
Why are there so many problems everytime a new firmware is released? It took me a 10h drive.
I’m really scared of Teltonika firmware updates.

Hi there,

I do apologize for the issues you are experiencing. I do not have any information of an issue like yours being a known problem, therefore we would need to investigate it by case.

Next steps in troubleshooting would be going into a private email session, as for further troubleshoot we would need to involve sensitive data which should not be shared in a public forum.

However for that, I would need you to firstly update the firmware back to the newest (07.16.3), and advise if you are still experiencing issues.

Regards,

Arturas
