RUT956 Not connecting to network with SIM Card

I am based in Canada and have a Bell SIM card I’ve been using with another cellular router without issues. I’ve decided to purchase a new router, which is the Teltonika RUT956. However, it has not been able to connect to the network. I’ve attached some screenshots of what I see on the admin console.

Any ideas on how I can resolve this? Should I reach out to Bell?

Hi,
I would suggest to update router firmware:

Hi,

I updated the firmware, but still have the same problem.

If you are sure you have the right APN and have tried it set to Auto AND Manual, then the next step for me would be to do a factory reset and set the device up from scratch.

Hi, do you have correct data plan for your SIM? I suggest to contact your operator.

Hello,

Thanks for reaching out!

Can you remove the sim card on your phone and connect it to the router?
From the picture it is obvious that the device doesn’t have any modem issue but let’s be sure!

Please send the picture from the same window after you connected your phone’s sim card to the router!

So we can decide, whether you should discuss with your operator or not!

Kind regards,
Caner

Hi Caner,

It works with my personal SIM card!

However, the previous SIM card (which wasn’t working with this router) was working with a different router. And that SIM card is also of a different operator than my personal one. Do you have any ideas on what I should ask the operator to get it working?

Upon reconnecting the previous SIM card, I get these messages:

Thanks!

Hello,

I’m glad that we’re sure about the issue right now! It’s related with your SIM card!

You should send the errors to your operator they should be able to help you.
I think issue is related with the APN. Maybe they can advise if your SIM card has Custom APN or not!

Please let me know if anything else that I can help you with after you have an update from your operator!

Kind Regards,
Caner
