I am experiencing a persistent mobile connection issue with my RUT956 in the Vodafone Germany network.
The router detects the SIM card and the LTE network correctly (e.g. LTE Band 3 / 7, MCC 262, MNC 02 or 03),
but the data connection fails every time with the message:
“Mobile ESM reject cause: Unknown”
and via AT commands:
+CEER: 6,259
(ESM cause #33 – Requested service option not subscribed)
Details:
- Device: Teltonika RUT956
- Firmware: RUT9M_R_00.07.18.3
- Modem: Quectel EC25-EUX
- Modem FW: EC25EUXGAR08A15M1G (latest available)
- APNs tested: auto and static (IPv4 and IPv4v6)
- SIM types tested: smartphone SIM, data SIM (both active and tested in another router)
- Other device (RUT955 with EC25-E) works fine with the same SIMs.
Even with a full modem reset (AT+QPRTPARA=3, AT+QPOWD=1) and manual PDP definition (AT+CGDCONT=1,“IP”,“web.vodafone.de”),
the connection fails with the same ESM cause.
