RUT956 losing LAN connection

Hi.

Whilst having only a laptop connected to a LAN port to configure the router from scratch, at certain times it loses LAN connectivity. I am no longer able to ping the router. The only solution is to downpower the router. However the connection will be lost soon again.

Any suggestions?

Does the connection drop when you change certain settings, or does it happen randomly?

Have you tried testing with a different cable?

Does the issue occur on a specific port or on all ports?

You may also try upgrading the device firmware using the bootloader menu by following the instructions here: RUT956 Device Recovery Options - Teltonika Networks Wiki
