Every time when trying to change the admin password I’m getting “unexpected error”
and new password is not saved. In event log you can see the error.
RUT956 global version
FW ver. 7.24.3
After downgrading to 7.19.4 and restoring corresponding backup-file everything is fine and password can be changed without any issue.
EDIT: tried on different devices, every time same issue.

The behavior you are experiencing is a known issue with the RutOS 7.24.3 firmware version. You can bypass this by using either of the following workarounds:
CLI / RMS: Change the admin password directly via CLI or RMS.
WebUI: Temporarily enable Password History, change your admin password, and then disable Password History again:
