RUT956 - default relay state

For our hardware fleet, we are using hundreds of RUT955 models for our remote gate openings.
Recently, we have changed to the new RUT956 model.

On this new model, the default state of the relay is ‘open’ and there is no option to change this setting.
On the RUT956, we were able to change the settings of this relay and change the default state.

Is there a way to change this setting by using SSH or will this be fixed by a FW update?

Hi,

It was like this for a while, I mean for some firmware versions. Can you tell me with which firmware version default relay state was closed? Were you using legacy firmware?

Best regards,

Hi,

The version we use if we want to change the default state is RUT9XX_R_00.06.02.
Just tested this on an old RUT955 and this is working as it should.

Is there any way to use this feature on the RUT956 or RUT906?
You can find this setting in the edit page of the relay, then output, output configuration in active state.

Best regards,
Dennis

Can you elaborate what “Old RUT955” means?

Hi,

I checked it again and Relay default state being “Open” is a consious desision and is present in RUTOS, firmwares beginning 00.07.xx.

If having default state being “Closed” is important , you can have startup script that changes state to “Closed”

Best regards,
