Hello,
The Router RUT955 restarts every (about) 17 minutes.
Nothing to see in the log files…, crontab checked, automatic_ping_reboot also turned off…
What else could be the cause?
Update: At this moment the reboot occurs after 35 min.
Thanks
Hello,
This behavior could indicate a potential hardware issue, in which case the device may need to be sent for RMA if it is still under warranty.
Before proceeding with that, I’d suggest checking whether the issue persists after upgrading the firmware to the latest version RUT9_R_00.07.06.17 if feasible without the “Keep Settings” option being selected; if it is a hardware issue, the rebooting behavior will remain unchanged.
Let me know how it goes.
Best regards,
Because we have only remote access, what does “Without the “Keep Settings” mean to us? That we have to go onsite ? We are quite far away …
regards,
Hello,
If you have remote access to the device WebUI, you can disable the “Keep Settings” option when upgrading the firmware via System → Firmware. Please note that without “Keep Settings” selected, all current configurations will be deleted, meaning the device will be factory reset after the update.
If you don’t have access to the WebUI, you can upgrade the firmware remotely using SMS Utilities by sending the following command to the router:
<admin password> fw_upgrade
After a successful update, a factory reset can be performed using:
<admin password> restore
Best regards,
Thanks for the feedback.
Unfortunately, this is not possible at the moment, as a remote connection to the (far) away device with “factory defaults” would no longer be possible …
We will clarify this when we are back on site
