Rut955 networking issues

Hi wandering if anyone can help me with some setup info
I’ve got a teltonika rut955 that I’m using as a modem connected to an asus rut 55 via the wan port

I’ve confirmed I can connect to the internet via the teltonika lan ports but when I connect It to the asus router it doesn’t share the internet connection

I’ve tried automatic ip which just says no connection to internet
But when I switch to manually configured it says connected to the internet but isn’t

I’m really struggling with this as to what settings to use and how to set up both routers any help would be much appreciated

Hi… I don’t know your asus…
But…
AT RU955? Can you see at the status page? WAN ip address? Got from the Asus?

So… you have your rut955 connect to internet?
and… Asus connected at RUt955?
or opposite?

At Asus… top in the midle… there is a message… Internet status: disconnected.

Also… at top url… I can see… your asus is using ip network 192.168.1.x and this ip network is the same used by RUT955… One of those devices… must have their lan ip network, changed to another address!

I’ve changed the up address teltonika 192.168.100.1 asus 192.168.10.1 still won’t automatically get the ip or connect to the internet

What happen when you connect your PC at RUT955?

Most important… I believe… it is not the up to date firmware version of the device, but how you use this device and can it do what it was build to do.

Ok so firmware is now up to date and has made no difference
Teltonika 192.168.100.1 asus 192.168.10.1

To clarify I’m trying to use the rut955 as a modem and the asus dsl n55 as a router lan 1 on the teltonika connected to wan in port on the asus

Sorry… But what you typed, I don’t understand… Please… Draw what you want to do… It will be more easy to understand.

  • RUT955 as a modem… ok? LTE?
  • ASUS as a xDSL router?
  • the LAN of the RUT955, is connected at WAN of the Asus…

But… Your asus? don’t have a xDSL connection to internet? Your text no clear about this.
Did you configure the WAN of your ASUS to use DHCP?

Sorry I thought I was being clear the rut955 is the mobile access point with lan 1 connected to wan in of the asus

The asus is my home router with no dsl connection

The ASUs has dchp set up

I would use the teltonika as my home network router but I’m struggling to connect more than one device to its in inbuilt WiFi network

Please…

Check your ASUS… at WAN settings… must be only dhcp client, no pppoe.

If there are similarities with the RUT950, then you might find this useful … apologies if it isn’t.
