RUT955 Modem Firmware Update Fail

Rut955, tried to download modem firmware update from server but just get message “ Modem update failed, Firmware update verify was unsuccessful”. Can’t find the file in available downloads to try that update route. Any help gratefully received.

Last version for RUT955.
So… I can just guess.
1 - maybe you getting a corrupt file transfer, because the cpu limitation.
2 - Don’t have enough free space to unpack the file at internal flash
3 - Your internet are getting some break of file? So… You need to keep trying to download it?

But… because I am not a Teltonika engineer… I cannot give you a final word, about what is happen with the modem update.

Are there some reason to do this update?
I keep my with the original modem firmware, because I do not want to loose it, case of something goes wrong, during the update of modem firmware.

Ok will try again with the download. Only reason for updating is that it’s flagged as being an available update when I log on to the router.

Just leave your PC/MAC/LINUX connected at the router and keep it away from other simultaneos connections… like other PCs or network devices. Just few minutes, before and after the download of the modem firmware.

What is the primary internet source when you’re trying to install the modem update through WebUI? If possible, could you try installing it using a wired WAN connection as the primary source?

Hi, finally resolved the issue of not being to update the 955 router modem firmware. Factory reset the router then the update downloaded no problem.

I should have done this sooner, but never mind every day is a learning day!

Anyway, thank you for the initial support to my tech issue.

Same problem when updating the modem firmware.
After succesful firmware upgrade to RUT9_R_00.07.06.14, a modem firmware update from server failed.
Also a full factory reset (as used by Rogerscr) did not solve the modem firmware issue.
Actual modem firmware version: EC25EUGAR06A07M4G_01.001.01.001
I used a wired WAN connection for internet access.
So: I have two questions:

  1. What is the need for this latest modem firmware update (in relation with the latest RUT955 firmware?)
  2. How can I get the modem firmware as a file (and perform a firmware update with a local file)
