after reboot the files in filesystem, settings in webgui, and event log revert to what the device had about a year ago in june. When I log in and look at the event log I see events from the current day (since the most recent boot) and from june 2024, but no events in between even though it boots up almost every day. There is no error message when I upload files or save settings.

This sounds like a corrupt flash-memory issue, where the settings are saved until the device is restarted, after which the configuration changes are simply erased as if they never happened.
For cases like these, it usually ends up going through the RMA process, which I would also have to suggest to you, as this is something that is hardware-related and will require either a repair or a replacement. I’d suggest reaching out to your distributor from whom you’ve purchased the device, assuming your warranty is still valid, and ask for a replacement or a repair.
