I am using the Hercules utility to test my connection with the RUT955 device. I want to sent back any gps data, in json format. But, instead, nothing on the Hercules TCP Client tab. And after few seconds, it prompts “Connection closed“. I run it on my local network to test it out.
Is there any extra configuration i should do to my RUT955 device?
For troubleshooting purposes, we will require more sensitive information from your end, such as the troubleshoot file, which may contain passwords, public IP addresses, serial numbers, and such. To avoid leaking this information, we have sent you a form to fill out, which you will receive in your e-mail inbox that you have registered your account with in the forums. In the Ticket ID field of the form, please enter the ID of this thread, which is 16677.
Below is a brief summary of our remote session for your reference:
During the session, we successfully verified that GPS data can be transmitted to a local PC connected to the device via an Ethernet cable. In the next step, the requirement is to forward the GPS coordinates to a remote server, which requires a stable internet connection on the router side.
At the time of the remote session, internet access was only available via a Wi-Fi network located in another building. Due to the weak signal strength, the connection was not stable enough to proceed with further testing. The client will test the setup again once a reliable internet connection is available and will provide an update accordingly.
Please feel free to reach out if any additional assistance is required in the meantime.
