RUT951 connection problem

Hello,

I have a problem with my RUT951 and I need to solve it quickly because it’s urgent.
It worked with my colleague, but not with me.
It flashes red and green all the time.

Can you please help me solve this problem?

Best regards,

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out.

Could you please check if the SIM card is inserted correctly and, if it requires a PIN, ensure the PIN is entered in Network → Mobile on the WebUI?

Best regards,

Thank you for your feedback.

Everything is in order. Chip installed correctly and PIN code correct.

I have to admit that I logged on to the WebUI by creating another account. Could this be the cause of the problem?

Thank you

Any help please ?

Connection state in FAILURE

Could you please connect to the router’s CLI (System → Maintenance → CLI or via SSH) and execute the following command: /etc/init.d/rms_mqtt restart.

Alternatively, this can be done in the WebUI by setting Connection type to Disabled, clicking Save & Apply, then waiting a few moments before setting it back to Enabled and saving again.

If this doesn’t resolve the issue, try performing a factory reset and re-registering the device to RMS.

Best regards,

Thank you for your feedback.

I tried to type the command on the CLI interface, but it asked me for the username and password instead.

It won’t let me enter the password.

It’s not easy, I’m stuck. :slightly_smiling_face:

Could you please show me some screenshots ?

Thank you very much

Hi @Abdelhak,
username is admin
password is the sam as in the WebGUI
password is NOT shown while typing (no *** no … nothing!)

Regards,
Timelapse Admin

Hello,

The login username is root, and the password is your current device admin password:

As Timelapse Admin mentioned, the password will not be visible as you type it.

Thank you for your feedback.

Normally, I’ve managed to do what’s necessary but the RUT951 is still flashing green and red. I haven’t noticed any change.

Could you please navigate to Network → WAN, click Edit on the mob1s1a1 interface, and set the PDP type to IPv4 only? After making this change, restart the RMS service once again.

Kind Regards,

Martynas,

why can’t I find the tab you’re showing me ?

Thank you a lot

Sorry, I was in ADVANCED mode.

I found it like this

Please,

To restart the RMS service, I press REBOOT ?

Thank you

Your device is unable to connect to RMS because it is not currently connected to the internet. Additionally, it appears you are using an older firmware version. We always recommend updating to the latest version for the RUT951, which can be downloaded here.

Once you have downloaded the firmware image file, you can upload it via the System → Firmware page by selecting the Update from File option.

To resolve the RMS connection issue, please ensure that your router is connected to the internet using a wired WAN, mobile (SIM card), or wireless connection.

Best regards,
