I was having problems with getting internet out of my country, so I decided to update the firmware. (I learned afterward that I just needed to change the APN)
I did it with the Bootloader’s WebUI. And upload the last firmware available, -->RUT9_R_00.07.06.16_WEBUI.bin
Sometime went by, and I had a problem, I can’t access router UI by rj45 nor Wi-Fi.
I have tried upload different firmware, the result is the same.
Tried the soft reset and hard reset.
The current status:
the router created a wifi with ssid: “_3372”
I can’t access the router via wifi or rj45, I have set the IP address to manual of my machine to 192.168.1.50 gateway 192.168.1.1 both interfaces different ips
1st led is blinking red and green
don’t have internet because I reset everything.
Red and green blinking means “No SIM or bad PIN” but this is not your problem right now.
Don’t give your PC an IP address manually - your RUT950 will give you one via DHCP within 192.168.1.0/24 range.
Make sure to turn off WiFi on your PC and connect via LAN cable to the LAN port of RUT950 and see if you can open 192.168.1.1 in your web browser.
I doubt it.
Check your LAN cable and PC’s Ethernet adapter
169.254.xxx.xxx means you’re not receiving an IP address though, correct.
Maybe you can try another PC as well?
I just made the reset, with the button.
When I clicked the 1st LED light up then the 2nd until the last one. Afterward, the all five LEDs start blinking.
and after a while the network led is changing from green and red again.
Okay.
When you take your mobile phone, can you see your “_3372” WiFi there?
And can you successfully connect to it?
Successfully means password ok and get an 192.168.1.xxx IP address?
From your description, it seems the device might be in Bridge or Passthrough mode. Could you please try performing a factory reset once again? You should keep the reset button pressed for at least 12 to 14 seconds.
If the issue persists, kindly fill out the form (for ticket ID use “9386”) I have sent to contact you privately, so we can further troubleshoot and provide a bootloader upgrade file.
Yes, press the reset button for at least 14 seconds. After the reset, it will take some time for the router to delete all settings and reboot. If that doesn’t help, as mentioned before, please fill out the form I sent so we can contact you privately for further troubleshooting.
