RUT950 not recognising SIM

I have a RUT950 HG12h0, I have updated to latest legacy fw. Tried some fixes with tech support but still saying No Sim inserted. Sim is inserted, have tried both sim slots and tried different ways etc.

Have tested SIM in mobile phone, all works fine. Tried entering all same info with custom APN (auto APN is off).

Any help appreciated.

Regarding the “No SIM inserted” message on your RUT950, please try the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Try inserting a known-working SIM card from a different mobile operator, and make sure it is inserted in the correct orientation.
  • Make sure that the SIM slot being used physically matches the SIM slot configured on the router. You can check and change this under Network → Mobile → General.
  • If the issue persists, please try performing a bootloader procedure on the device and then check the SIM status again.

Bootloader procedure:

Since the SIM card must first be detected by the router, APN configuration will not resolve a “No SIM inserted” status.
