Dear Experts
I’m currently working with a RUT950 running firmware version RUT9_R_00.07.0618, which I believe is the latest available for this model.
I’m trying to configure it to work with our DynDNS account, but I’m unable to locate the relevant menu or settings. Could someone please guide me on how to set this up?
Thanks in advance to the community — I appreciate any help and am looking forward to a solution!
Good afternoon,
If you go to System → Package manager, you can download the DDNS package.
By default, there will be an unconfigured DDNS instance present. You can either edit this default instance or create a new one by entering a name and clicking “Add”.
Configure the following fields:
- Enabled: Turn this on to activate the DDNS instance.
- Lookup Hostname: Enter your DynDNS fully qualified domain name (FQDN).
- DDNS Service Provider: Select your DynDNS provider from the list (e.g., dyn.com).
- Domain: Enter your DynDNS hostname.
- Username: Your DynDNS account username.
- Password: Your DynDNS account password.
- IP Address Source: Choose the source of the IP address to send to DynDNS (usually “Public” for the WAN IP).
- Network: Select the interface whose IP address should be bound to the hostname (usually WAN).
- Check Interval: Set how often the router checks for IP changes (default is 10 minutes).
- Force Interval: Set how often the IP update is forced to the DynDNS service.
Save and apply the settings

Dear Mr. Arturas,
Thank you for your kind response.
Following your advice, I have enabled Dynamic DNS, and it appears to be running based on the status indicator. However, the Dynamic DNS is still not functioning correctly.
I have also configured port forwarding for ports 80 (HTTP) and 443 (HTTPS).
I would appreciate any further assistance you can provide to help resolve this issue.
Best regards,
