Rut950 - Can't login, can't upgrade firware

Hi, I need you help.

I have an RUT950 that I can’t get working.

When I reset it, I can’t login with “admin / admin01”. It just says wrong password. I tried resetting it several times. Also I have tried both WiFi and Eithernet. It’s batch 118 so it should have “admin01” as password.

When I start it in Bootloader mode and try to upgrade the Firmware, I get “Incorrect checksum”. I tried a few different firmware files, but I get the same response every time.

Im all out of ideas here.

The “Incorrect checksum” error indicates wrong firmware being uploaded.

Please do the bootloader reset while following this guide : RUT950 Device Recovery Options - Teltonika Networks Wiki

And use the Latest FW from this link : RUT950 Firmware Downloads - Teltonika Networks Wiki

You can try doing a regular reset by just holding a reset button on the back, before you do the bootloader reset.

Can you also advise of the firmware the device has currently if you seen it?

Hi,

I have tried 3 different firmware versions from that page. They all give me “Incorrect checksum”. That together with “admin01” not working even after reset makes me think we might have to update the Bootloader as well.

Your thoughts?

As queried above, can you advise what Firmware the device has currently?

Also, can you advise if previously you have used the Legacy Firmware option, or RUTOS?
