RUT906 - Can't find the SD card socket

Hello,

I recently purchased the RUT906 and removed the back panel of the device to insert the SD card, but I couldn’t find the SD card socket.

The web-manual indicates that there is an SD card socket (https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUT906_SD_Card).

However, in the PCB, it was printed with ‘RUT951/956 Main v4.0’. It seems that the RUT951/956 does not support an SD card.

What I purchased is the RUT906, and the device housing is definitely RUT906 as well.

It’s a bit confusing, but is it correct that the RUT906 supports an SD card?

Hello,

It is likely, that you have received an older batch of RUT906 that did not have SD card yet. Hardware revision v5.0 or higher should support SD cards. More information can be found here: https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUT906_Product_Change_Notifications#2024.05.15:_New_PCB_revision

In your case I can see SD card slot is not yet present, as you have a hardware version 4.0:

I would suggest contacting your reseller and exchanging the device to one with hardware version 5. For RUT906 this change was implemented from ~ batch 12.
