I want to set up DYNDNS on my Rut901 with the provider DYNV6. It is not possible to have IPV4 and IPV6 at the same time. What settings do I need to make? I have been trying for several hours without success.
Hello, only ipv4 or only ipv6 works. Depends on the switch “use ddns ipv6 support” but I want to get both addresses!
What am I doing wrong?

Hello,
I have attempted to create the setup you described, having a Dynv6 domain with both IPv4 and IPv6 support simultaneously—but I encountered the same limitation as you. It seems that only one of the two (IPv4 or IPv6) works at a time.
At this point, it appears that achieving this setup might not be possible. However, I will escalate this matter to our R&D team for further investigation and will get back to you once I have more information.
Thank you for your patience, and I’ll update you as soon as I receive any insights.
Best regards,
Thank you so much! That would be great!!!

Hello,
Our R&D team has confirmed that currently, only one protocol—either IPv4 or IPv6—can work at a time, and there are no immediate plans to support both simultaneously. However, they will take a closer look and investigate the potential feasibility of implementing this in the longer term.
Best regards,
Hello @netpass,
Just to clarify, if IPv4 or IPv6 works fine individually (depending on the “Use DDNS IPv6 support” switch), then a potential workaround is to set up two separate DDNS instances—one for IPv4 and one for IPv6.
You can configure both instances with the same settings; only one is set to use IPv6 and the other IPv4. In this way, they won’t conflict, and both addresses should be correctly updated.
I hope this helps resolve your issue or at least provides some useful insights. Let me know if you need further assistance.
Best regards,
