RUT901 SIM internet not working

Hi,

I have a RUT901, the firmware was upgraded to WUT9M_R_00.07.14.2, I went through the wizard configuration, and inserted a SIM in SIM1. No ethernet WAN connection.

The problem I have is that I can't even see google in browser. I've tried both DHCP and manual configuration, I even try 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8 for DNS, but still nothing. The ping is working in CMD, I just can't get anything in browser. I have no proxy, and I disconnected from my other network when I was trying.

Thanks.

Good afternoon,

I can see that in operator state Roaming is switched on. Can you advise me what country this Sim card is from, and what country are you using it in?
Are you able to see if a local Sim card would work in the device? As the rest of the settings look okay, you are connected to an operator, and to a band, connection levels are good, you are just not receiving data from the ISP.
Lastly, please advise if in WEBUI Network → Wan you get an IP address from your provider?

Arturas

Hi,

thanks for the replay. I've tried with a local SIM and it worked in the first try. Any speculation why the first one with roaming didn't work, we receive assurances from Orange France that it should work? The local SIM is Orange as well.

Thanks again.

Hi there,

The basic answer to this would be that the Sim card provider is not providing you with data, in that particular country.
As a local Sim instantly worked, means the router has the capabilities to connect to an ISP band, and accept a data connection.

Hi there,

Some additional things that i wanted to clarify in regards to operation with the Roaming sim card :

Can you advise me how are you testing the internet connectivity?

Please also advise what typo of device are you trying to use with our device.

Advise of the topology. What is trying to connect to what.

Are all of the devices that are connected to our product, not receiving internet/mobile connection?

Can you also advise what APN you are using for connection? Did orange give you a manual APN, to use abroad with the Sim card?

Arturas
