RUT901-No connection to the mobile network

Hello,

I have a RUT-901 in which we replaced the SIM card. Unfortunately, it’s not connecting to the mobile network. The status shows “Setting up connection”.

Updating the firmware to versions 7.20.1 and 7.19.4 did not resolve the issue.

The SIM card was replaced due to a change of ownership within the company and is from the same provider as before and work in a test phone.

Interestingly, the network scan doesn’t show any potential providers.

Hello,

  1. Confirm that the mobile antennas are screwed onto the device, and aren’t mixed up (for example, a mobile antenna screwed onto a GPS antenna somehow)
  2. Confirm that your operator doesn’t require a custom APN to be used, and if they do, please head to WebUI → Network → Mobile → General and disable Auto-APN:
  3. Try SIM cards from other providers as well, if possible (don’t forget to change the APN back to auto, or to the one that the new operator requires) - see if the issue recurs.
  4. Try heading to WebUI → Network → WAN → Click “Edit” on your mob1s1a1 interface → Set the “PDP Type” to IPv4 instead of IPv4/IPv6
  5. Try band-locking; maybe the device isn’t able to find suitable bands to connect to: Band Lock - Teltonika Networks Wiki
