Hi all,
I’m having a spot of bother with the RUT901 and was wondering if anyone else has experienced a similar situation as well and what you’ve done to correct it.
Setup…
Brand new router and I have configured the following using an IoT Multi Network SIM Card. I’m going to put down all the changes I have done though some may not be needed for the issue that I’m facing.
In ‘Network Interfaces’ I have removed the two mob connections and then added a new instance based on the details from my SIM card provider. Putting in the APN details along with the username and password required. I’ve also set the ‘Low Signal Reconnect’ to be on and set it at -100.
I’ve then updated the Wi-Fi broadcast name and password and assigned it from the LAN to the new mobile connection I set up in the previous comment.
Finally I have then enabled remote access. The router boots and connects online and I can remote on and also see the devices connected and these are able to send data as expected.
The problem…
I’m loosing connection even though there is signal and performing a hard reboot allows the router to connect back without a hiccup.
I can see on my SIM radius log that the previous data session was open from 18-08-24 00:18:46 to 04-09-24 13:21:48 and during that time 9.913MB was used. Within a couple of seconds a new data session has opened however, since then until a hard reboot today its not sent any data over and I can’t remote in until the hard reboot was done.
The LED lights [https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUT901_LEDs] before the hard reboot were the ‘Connection status LED’ green blinking every 1 second and ‘Signal strength LEDs’ was 4 lit LEDs.
So the SIM is doing as expected reconnecting to the network but I’m not getting it back online. I’m trying to see if this is a SIM card issue (though I don’t think it is as been able to use the SIM in other devices) or something I need to do with the router.
Anyone any ideas?
TLDR SIM card data session ends, reconnects yet the router shows no active data session though has signal and a hard reboot works.
Thanks, PS_Richard
