Rut361 no automatic network selection

Hi, we have difficulties conntecting to our private network.

Modem sees the network

AT+COPS=?; +COPS: (1,“BASE”,“BASE”,“20620”,7),(1,“999 40”,“999 40”,“9940”,7),(0-4),(0-2)OK

but AT+CEREG? ; +CEREG: 0,2

forcing it manually is OK but i don’t understand why automatic network selection is not working. other devices are not having this issue.

Greetings,

Thank you for reaching out. Could you please share the routers firmware version, modem model, and modem firmware version? You can retrieve the modem model over SSH using gsmctl -A 'AT+CGMM' and the modem firmware version using gsmctl -A 'AT+CGMR'.

Is only one device experiencing this issue, or are multiple devices affected? Are the devices that connect successfully the same model?

Could you test the affected device’s SIM in a working device, and a working device’s SIM in the affected device? This helps determine whether the issue follows the SIM, which would point toward SIM provisioning, or stays with the device, which would point toward its configuration or firmware.

Please also check whether a modem firmware update is available under System → Firmware → Modem Update, and let us know the version offered, if any.

Has automatic network selection previously worked on the affected device? If so, were there any firmware, SIM, or network changes before the issue started?

Best regards,
T.
