I´m running a RUT360 with 4G and since today I have a Starklink connected to the WAN as preferred connection.
Connection and Failover is fine but the speed via the RUT360 with the Starlink is only around 30.000 kbit/s. No difference if I connect the PC via cable or WIFI.
If I connect the PC directly to the Starlink, everything went fine.
I played around with the MTU Size and also toggled the Firewall Software-Flow-Offloading, no difference.
It sounds like you’re encountering speed issues with your RUT360 connected to Starlink via WAN. Have you checked if there are any bandwidth limitations or settings on the RUT360 that might be affecting the speed? It’s odd that direct connection to Starlink yields better results. Double-checking the firmware and exploring any potential compatibility issues might also be worthwhile. Hopefully, you can find a solution soon!
Have you noticed these issues with previous firmware versions, or did they start with the newest one? What speed do you get when you connect directly to a PC? Do you have any additional routing or firewall rules set up on your device?
Hello,
I had the Same topic with an older Firmware Version and tryed to fix the problem by updating to the newest.
There are no addtional Routing of Firewall settings.
Connection from Computer to RUT (WAN) is 100 Full Duplex
By connecting the Starlink cable directly to the Laptop I had Connection Speed Between 150 and 230 Mbit.
It‘s clean that I can‘t expect that Speed via the WAN Port due to the Hardware limitation. But a Speed of under 50 Mbit is defenetly slow.
So it would be great if you have some further ideas for the configuration.
By default, there are no speed limitations for WAN or LAN ports. And any software limitations can be adjusted with additional package installation, so the device does not regulate itself. Have you tried testing the device speed using WiFi instead of a LAN cable? What results did you get then? Also, what tool did you use to measure internet speed? Have you tried others too?
Additionally, this issue is quite common with Starlink. I would suggest searching for it in other forums or even contacting Starlink support directly, as this is a common issue and they must definitely have some solution to it.
I have the same problem with rut 360, maximum speeds 30MB/s, it works without problems on 3 other routers, it is unlikely that a router of this class would have such a problem, I spent so much money and the router is useless, why can’t you solve this problem? This is not a problem with Starlink, it works fine on others, there is something wrong with your hardware!
There is a ‘bypass’ mode configuration option in Starlink - have you got this set?
Otherwise both devices are acting as a router, while in bypass-mode subdues the routing to the connected device (the RUT360).
Hello,
same Problem with Wifi.
I also think that it is an common Problem with Teltonika Routers.
If I Connect an Asus or Cisco on the Starlink cable it Runs wirhout any problem.
What should I say to Starkink? The connection works fine with low Budget and Cisco Routers but not with Teltonika. Ithink that they will andere that I should Open a Ticket at Teltonika.
Hi and thanks for that Information but there is no Starlink Router in my Setup. I have connected the Dish (with integrated Modem) via POE Adapter directly to the WAN Port of the Router.
