RUT360 Freezing

Hi,

I installed 2 RUT360 routers 1 week apart from each other and they both disconnected from the internet around the same time, less than 2 weeks after installation.

When I got to one of them, it seemed like it froze. The 4G led light was blinking and I could connect to wifi but could not access the webui or the internet.

They are brand new routers with the latest firmware installed, and I don’t understand why this would happen.

This is the events log of the day it turned off:

166 2023-12-28 14:20:02 Startup Device startup completed
165 2023-12-28 14:19:27 IP Block ip_blockd service is enabled, initialized firewall rules
164 2023-12-28 14:19:21 Switch Events Port speed for port LAN1 changed to 100 baseT
163 2023-12-28 14:19:21 Switch Events Port link state of port LAN1 changed to UP
162 2023-12-28 14:19:21 Switch Events Port speed for port CPU/WiFi changed to 1000 baseT
161 2023-12-28 14:19:21 Switch Events Port link state of port CPU/WiFi changed to UP

Keep in mind that I didn’t make any changes during this day but somehow it enabled ip block in firewall settings.

And this is the latest system log entries:

I also don’t get why the ddns service was terminated.

The other router is in a remote location so I have yet to see the logs.

Has anyone experienced this?

Thank you.

Hello,
Welcome to Teltonika Networks Community !
Just wanted to know that we have not yet managed to recreate the issue but there are a few points that are actually thinking of.

Can you check in your logs if you are being spammed or tried to log in because it seems that IP was blocked because of multiple failed tries.
Also i would like to know which FW are you using ? Is it FW 7.6.1 - This has improvements to mobile connection handling and system patches too.

Clive Pinto

Hi,
Thank you for the reply.

How would I check for spamming?

The firmware version that I’m using is 00.07.05.4 which was the latest at the time, I see that there is a new one.

Thank you.

Hello,

As given above, it will be similar if you are trying to be accessed by an external party. Generally it was just for you to be safer and try to even change the ports for HTTP/HTTPS from their standard ones.
Also the new FW should help !

Clive Pinto

Hi,
I don’t have that event listed so I still don’t know why this would happen.

What is weird is why would both routers do this at the same time.

Thank you.
