I have an RUT301 and am trying to use the Modbus RS-232 to Modbus TCP/IP function. However I also noticed that the BACnet Router package has an MSTP ( RS-485 ) section. It appears that Modbus RS-232 is available via USB to RS-232 interface.
To make use of serial networks will any USB to serial connector that supports the target interface work or are there specific adapters that need to be used. I saw no USB adapters in accessories on your website. Also can BACnet MSTP to BACnet/IP ( BIP ) routing be used with a USB to RS-485 adapter?
