RUT241 - ssl failure trying to connect to RMS

We have 6 RUT241 devices utilised with RMS and today we had problems with one of the RUT241, so performed a firmware update to RUT2M_R_00.07.20.1 then proceeded to configure the device and try reconnecting to RMS. the connection times out and shows “Down (SSL Failure)“ on the Services→Cloud Solutions→RMS page of the device web interface.

I confirmed the Serial Number, MAC and Device name match what is expected in the RMS Management→Devices→Device Information page where I expect to see the device show “activated”

previous FAs and posts here in the community pages detail checking the Authentication Code in the table on the Management→Devices page of RMS, but the values are empty for all our devices for this specific parameter.

I have tried unregistering the device in RMS and then re-establishing the device again, but to no avail.

Are there any further connection tricks I can try to allow the initial connection, I would really appreciate some help.

thanks

Hello, Rob,

Could you please try viewing & going through the steps provided in the following Wiki page: Why is my device offline / not activated on RMS? - Teltonika Networks Wiki

Hi Matas,

thank you very much for the link.

I went through all these ideas to track down the problem.

the one that helped was checking the internet status with connchecker package installed. This showed that the wan connection looked liked working but was not. So the problem turned out to be a simple SIM card problem, once replaced the connection was made to RMS.

thanks again.
