Rut241 sms post/get

Hi

I’ve got a RUT241 that I am trying to use to send SMS alerts from using a HTTP based interface that we’ve successfully deployed before with a RUTX50 but uses the SMS gateway POST/GET functionality (Niagara4/Forest Rock TeltonikaSMS driver)

The Router is currently running 7.13.4 firmware and I cannot see anything equivalent to this POST/GET functionality within the settings? Following the below linked guide

Particularly confused as reviewing the spec sheets for the X50 and 240 currently, neither show “HTTP to SMS” type function? Hopefully I am missing something obvious, but failing that is there a Router that does support this currently? Or do I need to revert firmware to earlier version?

This functionality was moved to the Package manager as can be found in the firmware changelog:

Simply head to System → Package manager → Search for “post” and install it.

I did have a look at the package manager but only searched for “SMS” so never found the right package!

I can see that I have misunderstood your question, apologies for that.

Starting from firmware 00.07.14.0, the POST/GET services were completely withdrawn. You can find more details on this change here:

To send SMS via RUT 241 You can utilize the API requests; More information specifically on sending SMS messages can be found here: https://developers.teltonika-networks.com/reference/trb500/7.14.3/v1.6.3/messages#post-messages-actions-send
