Afternoon everyone we seem to be having problems with the 2 types of router we use with getting internet access on Dahua Network Video Recorders and our EFOY 80 units. we can get internet access if we connect a laptop or pc to the router but nothing else is given internet access. in the past to rectify the problem we have down graded the firmware to a really old version but I can no longer get hold of the firmware version we was using and all our new routers are coming with obviously updated firmware.
Hi,
What protocol are you using on your Dahua and EFOY devices (Static IP or DHCP)?
If you are using a Static IP address on them, have you set the “Default Gateway” in their network interfaces to point to the nearby router?
were using DHCP on our equipment
Hello,
A couple of additional points to clarify the situation:
- Are the Dahua and EFOY units actually reachable (e.g. can you ping them from the router itself)?
- Which exact firmware version are your routers currently running on? (please ensure they’re updated to the latest stable release).
- Does setting a custom DNS server on these devices (for example,
8.8.8.8) change anything in terms of connectivity?
For testing purposes, you could also try:
- Assigning a static IP to these devices with the correct gateway (router’s LAN IP), then checking if internet access starts working.
- Changing the PDP type to IPv4 only on the router (found under Network → WAN → mob1s1a1 settings)
Let me know how it goes.
Best regards,
