Hi, we are using RUT241 devices and create backups for every device we use. When one of them crashes and need sto be replaced, we would like to restore the configuration from backup. We face challenges here, the the new router refuses loading teh backup “failed to validate backup”.
We are using “identical” devices, same batch number and S/N only about 900 apart form each other. Firmware on both devices is RUT2M_R_00.07.06.10.
Why is that so? Any recommendation?
And here is a suggestion to Teltonika: it should be possible to backup “full devices” (depending on hardware, firmware etc.) but ist should also be possible to create a “light backup” that just includes IP/Firewall/network configurations and should be independent from device hardware and firmware. (maybe you could import “as much as possible” from a backup file and display a report of what was successful and what not?). This would save us a lot of time. Thank you.
