RUT241 Problem with mobile connection

We have 40 RUT241 devices in remote locations. A POE switch is connected to RUT241. Cameras are connected to the POE switch. An L2TP client is configured on each RUT241 and we connect to device by L2TP addresses.
The problem is that in some locations the web interfaces of the cameras cannot be loaded and at the same time the ping to the router increases to 8000ms. I noticed that the problem is somewhere at the cellular network level. We use Play operator cards (Polish ISP). I noticed that when the network type is 4G (LTE); VoLTE, this problem does not occur. Everything works fine. However, when the netowork type is only 4G (LTE), the above-mentioned problem occurs. Additionally, I noticed after entering ifconfig when the connection is 4G (LTE); VoLTE, the MTU is 1500. However, when there is only 4G (LTE), the MTU is 1430.
I think there is a problem here somewhere, but I don’t know how to solve it. The routers have the latest FW RUT2M_R_00.07.08.2

Hello,

Thanks for reaching out!

There is no clue to think that RUT241 is causing the issues that you’re facing with!
The problems should be related with the network itself as you already mentioned. In that case I can recommend using stronger antennas , our devices are compatible with 3rd party antennas also. You can reach our antenna portfolio from here and for third party solutions here

Hello,

This 0.05 Mbps is really low speed.
Have you tried factory resetting your device? Can you please check if the antennas are well connected to the device?
And can you please do speedtest 1 more time when the device is connected to the network via
4G (LTE); VoLTE.

Kind Regards,
Caner

Have you tried factory resetting your device? Can you please check if the antennas are well connected to the device?
Unfortunately factory reset is not possible at this time because the devices are 600km away from us.
Last week our serviceman was at the one of location and he check antennas and it’s ok.

And can you please do speedtest 1 more time when the device is connected to the network via
4G (LTE); VoLTE.

Yes, result from one of the device with 4G (LTE); VoLTE network type:

Hello,

Thanks for letting me know!

I think the issue on network level, I don’t think if it’s related with your device.

Can you please raise the issue to your operator company? Maybe they can advise about the reason the this fluctuation on the network.

Kind Regards,
Caner
