Hello, I am a new user of the teltonika brand, and I have purchased a RUT241 recommended by 3 friends who have it.
I run into this problem: I have the router 200km away from home, and once configured, everything works fine, it has a SIM and everything is fine. I have cameras and tapo sockets connected by Wi-Fi, and I also access via DNS, and everything is fine.
But in the 2 months that I have had the router, it seems that every 14 days, the WiFi devices (14 devices) lose the connection.
If I go to the Wi-Fi configuration, it is at 100%, it says that the 14 devices are connected, but in reality they are not connected. The only solution is to restore the factory and upload a backup again, but after 2 weeks the same thing happens. same.
Every time I have the latest version, this time I have left the RUT2M_R_00.07.10.2 version and wait if everything works well. Could it be some type of configuration? Or is it a problem with the defective router? I would appreciate help, since I had to travel twice to solve it. Thank you.
Hello,
The latest available firmware version for the RUT241 device is 7.11.3. I recommend upgrading your device to this version to address the issue you’re experiencing. You can download the firmware from this link RUT241 Firmware Downloads - Teltonika Networks Wiki.
After updating, please check if the problem persists.
If the issue continues, please let me know, and I will send you a form to contact you privately to review the logs.
Best regards,
Ok, but I do it with fear that it will fail again, I wait a few days and if it roasts again, I will write to you. Thank you Marija
You’re welcome.
I look forward to your feedback.
Best regards,
Hi…
I had an issue with cameras, using another vendor… Maybe you can try and reduce the “frames by second” in each camera?
They use a static camera for vigilance… and they agree to reduce to only three frames by second and limit the resolution to 720p. It solve the question… Don’t know it will help you.
I have 2 cameras, 8 Tapo plugs and some power relays via Wi-Fi, but they all disconnect, not just the cameras, they are all the devices from different manufacturers. Thank you for your contribution.
Just a litle explanation…
Sorry to not write this before…
" Cameras can consume a lot of traffic and maybe can impact in another devices. "
So… reducing the frames by second and the resolution, will reduce the tcp/udp impact in your router cpu (WiFi) and free some resources to your another devices.
Yes, it is possible, maybe I would not like this to be my problem, the previous router, much simpler router never had this problem with the same devices, and it lasted 5 years. I changed brands due to its hardness and reliability, if I had to change the frames of the cameras, it would no longer be a good router for me, to be honest, but Marcelo, you are right, it will be something to take into account. Thank you so much.
