I have a RUT241 eSIM and I had problems with the setup. I tried resetting but there are still pending notification related to deleting the eSIM that I assume is due to not being able to setup the required internet connection.
What is the most robust way to setup internet connection such that I can release the eSIM and start over again? How do I check that I have the internet connection working properly?
Hi, you should use alternative internet source such as wired WAN or WiFi. If you select regular SIM card slot, you wonβt be able to make any operations with eSIM.
Easiest way to check whether you have an active internet connection, is to send a ping command to 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1. If you go to the WEBUI System β Maintenance β Troubleshoot β Ping . After having an alternative internet connection, you can activate your eSIM profile.
In this case, I would like to recommend changin the internet wan source. Potentially try to set up a hotspot on your phone, and connect to that hotspot with our router.
