RUT241 disconnecting every 3 minutes

Hi,

I have a RUT241 which has been working great, but is now giving me trouble with instability.

Every 3 minutes it goes through status codes 0-20-115-0 etc. It is in a remote location but I was able to schedule a reboot. This did not change anything.

The IP and 4G signal strength changes so it does connect.

RUT2M_R_00.07.17.1 Firmware

What are my options? Any other logs I can extract to better understand the situation?

Greetings,

Does the disconnection occur at a consistent interval, 3 minute interval?

Could you also check whether a Ping/Wget auto-reboot is configured? You can verify this by navigating to System → Maintenance → Auto Reboot.

Next, please go to Network → Mobile → Connection, change the preferred network type to 4G only, and check whether the issue persists.

Are you currently using an automatic APN? If so, we recommend configuring the APN manually. Please note that if the device is located remotely, an incorrect APN configuration may result in a complete loss of access. You can change the APN under Network → Mobile → General.

If the issue continues after these steps, please download the troubleshoot file from System → Maintenance → Troubleshoot, as it will be required for further troubleshooting.

Please let me know the results.

Best Regards,
Justinas

Thanks for reply. The issue is resolved now (more or less). I have had several hrs of uptime without rebooting. The only thing I managed to do was to force it to reboot every two hrs through the web interface.

The 3 minute interval was very consistent (+/- a few seconds). Auto Reboot is not enabled. I have changed the network type to 4G only. Should I also engage Low Signal Reconnect? It is normally around -70.

The unit is remote so I will wait changing the APN to manual.

I checked the logs to see if there was any more information, but they did not go far enough back.

Greetings,

Could you please clarify if the issues are resolved or do you still need any assistance?

Best Regards,
Justinas

Hi, thanks for checking. It is more stable 1 to 20 hrs between rebooting. It is at a remote site so this is ok for now. I will do further troubleshooting once I am at site.
