RUT241 - Devices cannot connect to internet bis

Hi,

I am using a RUT241 as an openVPN client to reach devices that are behind it. I was able to successfully set up the VPN, I can communicate between the various devices connected to it but I can’t connect to the internet.

I can correctly ping 8.8.8.8 or google.com from the router’s console, but the devices connected to it can’t whether I have the openVPN client ON or OFF.

I tried the following firewall rules without any success:

I am using firmware version RUT2M_R_00.07.06.3.

I already created a topic that has been closed because of inactivity. This was the the additional information I gave:

Have you set up the RUT241 as an OpenVPN client?
Yes

Did you have internet access before configuring OpenVPN?
Yes, I had it. Furthermore, I can confirm that I do have internet access as I am able to reach a camera sitting behind the RUT241 when using the OpenVPN connection from an external-to-the-router device. It seems like I cannot go outside this OpenVPN connection though, e.g., do a pip install [package]. But connection between devices within the OpenVPN connection are fine.

Can you provide details on how you have set up OpenVPN?
I configured it from an .ovpn file. By the way, I followed the actions recommended for this thread thinking that it would have helped but it did not. The OpenVPN connection still works perfectly after applying the recommended steps. I do have a line with dev tun10 on all my .ovpn files and a network called vpn1 now.

Do you have any additional configurations for LAN or WLAN?
I do have some port forwarding rules allowing me to reach devices behind the RUT241 (ssh and tcp) when accessing them within the OpenVPN connection.

Thank you for your help!
