I have a RUT241, and I want to make a simple configuration to connect an IP Camera (LAN) to this RUT, so that it connects to the client’s wifi, and to be able to access the camera by WiFi.
1: How do I connect the RUT241 as a client (I assume this is the case), to the client’s wifi? I have the correct IP range, SSID and password is ok. The camera is set up correctly and is working when it is connected to the main router.
2: Wifi range (192.168.0.xxx) Camera has fixed 192.168.0.xxx and is connected to LAN port of the RUT241.
So everything is very simple but I cannot reach the cam.
Can anyone have a tutorial on how to make this connection? Please?
You can connect to a Wifi network with your router by going to WEBUI → Network → Wireless → SSIDs and add the network there. After you sucessfuly connect, the interface will appear under network → wan, and you will have an internet connection in the device.
It seems like you may have an IP conflict too, try to change the IP address of the router in WEBUI ->Network->Lan to avoid that.
I assume the camera is connected to our router via LAN cable? Have you set up port forwards, if necessary, already?
