I have a RUT241 with RUT2M_R_00.07.14.2 and I am not able to send a SMS.
I get a failed to send message.
RUT241 is in fail over mode and connected via the mobile backup WAN (mob1s1a1).
Why it is not possible to send an SMS? Any hints please. Thanks

Were you able to send an SMS message with the previous firmware versions? Or was this tested only on the latest firmware version? Does the SIM card itself support SMS messages? There is potential for it to be a data-only SIM, so do double-check that.
Double-check your mobile strength under Status → Network → Mobile as well, as it could very well be one of the causes for the SMS failing to send.

I think it also did not work with the firmware installed before. I will try a different SIM card and will let you know what is the result.
With a different SIM card SMS Sending is working!!
It looks like it was data only SIM card. Thanks for the hint.
