Hello,
Some time ago I contacted you because I had some problems with my devices (RUR240 and RUT241).
After some emails, we came to the conclusion that it was necessary to update the internal modem firmware. For this you recommended me to “Connect your RUT241 to a different WAN source (such as cable or Wi-Fi) and configure it as primary WAN source”. Then, in the next email you explained to me that “we do not recommend upgrading the internal modem firmware if the device does not have an alternative WAN source besides the mobile one, as there is a risk of damaging the modem during the upgrade process”.
My question is: If I connect the RUT241 to a hotspot from the mobile for the upgrade, will it be safe enough, or do you recommend just the WAN cable connection?
Thank you very much.
