I just updated the firmware of my RUT240 router because the web interface was stuck on the “loading” message.
After several attempts, I managed to get the router to start correctly with the firmware RUT2_R_00.07.04.1_WEBUI.bin. However, when I tried to enter through the WebUI I got the following message: Failed to load menu data. Since this case is similar to the one reported in ticket 10072, I connected to the router via ssh and executed the following command: hexdump -C /dev/mtd1. As a result, I got only f as shown below:
