We use RUT240 to access devices on remote LAN network.
For a few days now, we have a problem with loosing communication to these devices.
Every once in a while, we loose communication to LAN devices behind the RUT240.
Rebooting router restores communication.
No changes were made to the router configuration priori to the first occurance of the issue.
We have updated FW to the latest version, but issue persists.
Interestingly, when comms fault occurs, LAN devices in question get detected in Tetlonika RMS (in VPN hub “Routes” section), but not locally on the router (in Status/Network/Topology section).
Can you please advise how to troubleshoot this issue?
Here are a few questions to help diagnose the issue:
Can you still ping the LAN devices?
Are the DHCP entries still present?
Are the devices still visible in Status → Network → Topology and “Scan all”?
Additionally, please provide a troubleshoot file from the device after it has experienced the LAN issue. Since this file contains private information, we’ll handle it on a secure platform. Instructions for accessing this platform have been sent to the email you used to register for this forum.
Can you please confirm if you received my email and filled form? I sent it earlier this week.
I couldn’t attach file to a form (tried different browsers)- is there alternative way?
Just in case, below are anwers to your questions:
• Can you still ping the LAN devices?
A: No, I can’t ping any of the devices.
• Are the DHCP entries still present?
A: When issue happened, in section “Status->Network->LAN->DHCP Leases” there were no entries. Also, all LAN devices have static IPs assigned, so I wouldn’t expect any DHCP entries to be present anyway.
• Are the devices still visible in Status → Network → Topology and “Scan all”?
A: No, no devices are visible. They were all visible priori to issue occurance.
