So… I have (finally) managed to install SoftetherVPN5 server + bridge to RUT200 router. Installation went ok, no errors or anything, but when I try to start the server, I get errors:
SoftetherVPN5 is not officially supported by our routers. Since it is not implemented on our devices, there might be some compatibility issues. Our RUTOS is built on OpenWRT but has undergone many changes over time. We recommend using one of the VPNs that is supported by the RUT200. You can find more information here: RUT200 Supported VPNs.
That’s the thing that I need to use exactly Softether , others are not the option, because they do not go through firewall . My task is to find a replacement for overpriced (and now with subscription (wtf?)) TOSIBOX.
Packages from feeds of that version somehow take more space, and now I ended up with not enough memory. Trying to free some of it by removing bloatware… managed to compile image with rootfs as big as 8.8Mb… still need to lose ~1Mb, thinking about removing of web interface…
Space won’t be cleared if you delete something from running system which is included into firmware, its designed like that.
Better option for you would be to compile SDK firmware, then you could drop something that you don’t use, like VPNs and add packages that you need.
