RUT200 port forwarding issue

Hi everyone,

I have a RUT200 device with a SIM card, and my PC is connected to the RUT200 via Wi-Fi. I am trying to remote desktop (RDP) into the PC from a remote location, so I have forwarded port 3389 from the public IP address (the SIM card’s address) to the private IP address (the PC’s address). I have tried all the suggestions from the older post, but nothing has worked for me.
Port3389 is open on pc side
Could someone please share detailed instructions for setting up RDP over the RUT200 device?

Thanks in advance

Hi…

Take a look at https://youtu.be/axGHGM0Nwe4?si=PHwoeJ0dwyfyIayA

It is a basic about port forwarding, using Teltonika. Maybe help you.

Thanks for the response, but the video is not helpful. I think I should be more specific.

Is there any setting I missed? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks a lot!

I’ll do some test and i’ll let you know.

I think I’ve discovered the issue. The SIM is probably behind CGNAT, so I cannot use the public IP address.

Do you have any workarounds?

Hi.

CGNAT? are you getting 100.64.0.0-100.127.255.255 address range as the tcp/ip of your sim card?
or RFC1918 ? 10.x.x.x , 172.16.x.x-172.31.x.x , 192.168.x.x ? ( rfc1918 / cgnat are not public ip address)

You can contract or find some external gateway relay. Then you need to do a vpn (ovpn, ipsec, etc… ) to this " relay " and using the public ip address of this server you will build your remote access to your servers.

Yes, I too have come to the conclusion of using a VPN, thank you all for the responses.
