RUT200 Mobile configuration

Hi,

After setting a custom APN for a custom SIM, is it also possible to force the mobile network netmask to a custom value? Even via SSH?

Setting a custom APN primarily configures how your mobile device connects to your mobile network provider’s gateway. It defines parameters like the access point name, authentication type, and sometimes proxy settings. However, directly forcing a specific netmask value for the mobile network interface (the one assigned by the mobile operator) is generally not something you can directly control or modify via APN settings or even easily via SSH on a standard mobile device (like an Android phone or iPhone)

Hello,

As far as I’m aware, it is not possible to define a custom subnet mask on a mobile connection, as the IP address and subnet are assigned directly by the network operator. Unless the SIM is part of a private APN or custom network configuration, modifying these parameters is typically not supported.

Best regards,
M.
