Hello,
I’m trying to set up a WireGuard connection between my PC and an external RUT200. The RUT200 is configured as the server, and my PC is the client. Although I’ve finished configuring WireGuard, I still can’t establish a connection to the RUT200. I’ve attempted connecting through the VPN Hub as well as using the router’s IP address, but neither approach has been successful.
You will need a Public IP that is presented to at least one of your devices … is this the case?
If only one device has a public IP, then the other device has to initiate the WireGuard connection. If both devices have a Public IP, then it doesn’t matter who initiates the connection.
So assuming you’re fixed up with a Public IP on one of you’re devices, then see the following example …
Sadly i couldnt test it out because this specific rut200 is shut off for now and i dont have access to turn it on and need to wait until i can try to test the provided possible solution.
As Mike mentioned, when configuring WireGuard, please ensure that at least one of your devices has a public IP address. For detailed setup instructions, please refer to our WireGuard configuration example on our wiki: https://wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/WireGuard_Configuration_Example
Once you have the opportunity to test the device, please let us know how it goes or if you require any further assistance.
