The RUT X50 (RUTX-R_00.07.08.3) has a incorrect time after reboot, every reboot the time goes further behind with about 30 seconds.
Does the RUT X50 has a internal clock (RTC)?
When we try GPS time synchronization the time is corrected when there is a GPS fix however after reboot and there is no GPS fix right away the time is out of sync again until there is a GPS fix.
In our setup the RUT X50 should act as NTP server however the won’t be a GPS fix al the time.
Have you tried enabling the NTP client, to synchronize not only with the GPS, but with NTP too, maybe it would get the time faster then GPS? You can find it in System → Administration → Date & Time and there you can set it up as you would like to use it. If you are using RUTX50 as a NTP server, I would set Update interval at 60 seconds, to keep up the synchronization. For more information I would refer to this article: RUTX50 Administration - Teltonika Networks Wiki
Hi @Dirk,
no, there is no RTC in the router. And (as you already
know) time-sync via GPS only works correctlyas soon
as a fix is established.
As @Yes suggested you should activate the NTP client
by using either pool.not.org as the server or if you want
to use a more local client like e.g uk.pool.ntp.org or lt.pool.ntp.org and then of course don’t forget to activate
the local NTP server on the RUT.
