Following a firmware update concerning the security of the “RUT956,” sending SMS messages has become more complex (use of Rest API). However, “Bearer Token” authentication is not available for PLCs (Codesys library).
What would be the alternative to enable SMS sending via the PLC?

Could you tell me whether you’re reading data from the PLC & when certain data is being read, an SMS message is supposed to be sent? If this is the case, what kind of data is it?
I propose that you could try using Modbus Alarms (presuming it is Modbus data that you’re reading) to essentially send an SMS / EMAIL (your choice) when a certain condition and/or value is met. More info here: RUT956 Modbus - Teltonika Networks Wiki
